Filmed in 2009, this TEDtalk has been viewed over 33 million times and is a staple of marketing and communication workplaces. The idea? People don’t buy what you do, they buy why you do it.
Shared with the Loud Days team at least twice a year since the agency launched in 2011, this video looks at key moments in history through examples including Apple, Martin Luther King, and the Wright brothers, and delves into the ‘why’ behind the success of products, movements and inventions.
While some will say ‘this is just good practice’, How Great Leaders Inspire Action and everything that followed has driven a change in how communication agencies operate by placing the ‘why’ at the centre of what we do (aka: purpose).
